TRACKING TELEVISION ARTICLES WITHIN THE NIGERIAN CONTEXT: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
Abstract
Television has grown to become a very vital part of human life, as people have moved from just visuals which can be gotten from reading a newspaper, and audio that is gotten from audio, now people want audio-visuals that can only be gotten from the conventional media which is the television. This paper examines the research conducted by researchers in Nigeria and the world on how television affects different sectors and garments of life. The objective of the study was to find out the different areas of research that researchers have covered as it relates to the sectors of the society and television. The research methodology used in this paper is the Systematic Review method. Findings revealed that researchers have focused mainly on topics relating to television, administration, politics and community development. The study recommended that researchers should diversify and research on television and other areas like climate change, culture, business, economy, etc.
